Every time it seems there couldn’t possibly be room for another luxury boutique or famed restaurant to come to Aspen, a new one pops up. Welcome, HaSalon. But to me, Aspen will always remain the most charming ski town in the US.
The unparalleled natural beauty, stunning views, and unique atmosphere, paired with top-notch spas and some of the most well-curated shops I’ve encountered, is something you can only find here. Peak season is undoubtedly during the winter ski months (December to February), but I promise you, a trip to Aspen in October is the ultimate serotonin boost.
WHERE TO EAT
DINNER
Reservations for dinner, especially during peak season, are a must. And make sure to make them far in advance.
⭐ Meat & Cheese - Possibly my favorite eatery in Aspen. Walk-ins only and the wait could get quite long or even close off for dinner during peak season, so plan accordingly. Their lunch menu is also divine. Last year, owner Wendy Mitchell planned to close the shop to make time for her professional pickleball career, but the people literally couldn’t let Meat & Cheese go. That’s how good this place is.
⭐ Matsuhisa - Chef Nobu’s first Matsuhisa location outside of the original Beverly Hills restaurant.
⭐ Casa Tua - Great for group dinners and a sexier vibe. The upstairs is reserved for members.
Clark's ⭐ Clark’s Oyster Bar - Order the clam Chowder, a pile or shoestring fries, and a Bloody Mary - how could that not equal a great day/night? I would argue to say Clark’s has the best dining atmosphere in Aspen town. I usually go for lunch or their happy hour (you need a reservation for all), but dinner is great too.
