BROOKLYN: Eat and Drink
Where to eat and drink in Brooklyn (mostly, Greenpoint and Williamsburg)

Table of Contents:
DINNER
The Best Food
Diner - Seasonal menu in a casual setting. The appetizers are much better than the entrees, imo. But the food is so good and the history is so cool. This will always be a favorite of mine!!
Bar Bête - modern take on french cuisine + a great summer dinner spot (tuna toast, duck fat potatoes). Out of the way of most things, so make your dinner here your whole evening’s activity (oysters pictured above).
Red Hook Tavern - maybe the best burger I’ve ever had in a very cozy setting.
The Four Horsemen - seasonal tasting menu, candle-lit dinner, and go to Night Moves next door after.
(L) Diner, (R) Four Horsemen Eyval - Top of the line middle eastern cuisine in Bushwick
Oxomoco - Michelin-starred Mexican in prime Greenpoint; a good place to go before going out, where the food is also excellent
St Anselm - a casual steakhouse
Birds of a Feather - Spicy Sichuan food and dumplings in a casual setting that’s perfectly elevated + buzzy for a Friday night dinner.
Ensenada - Seafood-forward Mexican cuisine, really light and fresh. After your dinner, grab drinks at Black Flamingo downstairs.
Date Night
Le Crocodile - elevated French fare at the Wythe Hotel. I would highly recommend their mint chip ice cream dessert.
Cecily - tiny wine bar with all of the best energy (they have cocktails too). Small space, amazing sourdough, and light dishes.
Layla - dim-lit, not a hard reservation to get, and an overall good vibe. Young crowd. Also a great spot to just grab a drink at the bar.
The Four Horsemen - seasonal tasting menu, and a candle-lit dinner. Go to Night Moves next door after. If you can’t get a reservation, put your name down as soon as they open at 5:30 pm and you’ll get seated at the bar.
Misi - Industrial space. I prefer sitting at the bar, but you can come with a wider group too.

With a Group
Red Hook Tavern - maybe the best burger I’ve ever had in a very cozy setting. Come here to eat eat eat!!!
Llama Inn - a good place before going out (the cocktails are 👌) and the food is also excellent
Bernie’s - famous for a reason. Come early to put your name down
Ops - pizza & wine
Leo - pizza & wine in a modern space
LUNCH
Grab-and-go
I couldn’t make this list without mentioning Fini Pizza, which is possibly my favorite pizza in NY (the white slice). So:
L’Industrie Pizza - be prepared to wait in a looooong line.
Birria-Landia - taco truck
Radio Bakery - sandwiches

Bakeries
Radio Bakery - earl grey morning bun!
ELEVATED BARS
Lively and elevated bars where you can spend all night
Ask for Janice - A speakeasy behind Upside Pizza. Standing room and little bites.
Pony Boy - You can come for a drink before dinner or if you’re looking for a place to dance late night.
Eavesdrop - small intimate space with a DJ mixing vinyl
Sauced - a fun wine bar (and a good place to wait for your table at Four Horsemen)
I love all of these spots!!!! Need to try Layla
I see me!
