FOUND IN COPENHAGEN
Notes on Danish style, tastemakers, and brands.
If you’re anything like me, your camera roll is full of clothing tags to Google later and the bottoms of ceramic bowls you swear you’ll track down someday. I do also have a box of stickers half-stuck to tissue paper from old purchases, that I’ve deemed too beautiful to throw away.
I started Found In as a place to collect and share all the tags I’ve been hoarding.
Lately, as I decorate my apartment, I keep circling back to Danish design. The whole philosophy of simplicity and function shows up everywhere, from their clothes to their boutiques to their furniture. I’m just as fascinated by single brands as I am by multi-brand shops.
Curation tells its own story. Two boutiques might stock the same designers, but the inventory they actually choose feels like a fingerprint. It shapes how people dress in that city. Which is why when I walk around Copenhagen, admiring everyone’s outfits, I always end up looking to the stores.
So here’s what I found in Copenhagen that stayed with me.
But before that, an honorable mention to one of my favorite brands, founders, and boutiques of all time, SAKS POTTS, which sadly closed its doors in spring 2025. A list of Copenhagen fashion inspirations would be incomplete without their mention. Barbara Potts and Catherine Saks are the epitome of Copenhagen cool. They built the brand with such deliberate elegance. I can’t wait to see what they do next.

corali jewelry feels like tiny sculptures for the body. Handmade in Copenhagen from recycled gold, silver, and pearls, the pieces feel romantic and edgy at the same time.

The softest, colorful cashmere staples for women and children at a surprisingly reasonable price point.

This store feels like your cool Copenhagen friend pulled a few things off the rack and said, “trust me, try these on.” The curation includes some familiar names (Stella McCartney, Lié Studio, Sportmax) and plenty of brands I hadn’t seen before (Lea Hoyer, Le Soonar, Sunflower). I’m obsessed with this Stella McCartney Fold-Over Tote Bag Black being at the top of their new arrivals page. This bag is making a come back. You heard it here first.

Mix of designer and casual vintage curated by the chicest, sweetest blonde thirty-something named Thea. You’ll find archival Saks Potts, Gimaguas, Acne Studios, and Jil Sander. You can shop pieces through Instagram, but it’s honestly worth making the trip to Copenhagen to visit this store. I walked in at the end of a long day and accidentally walked out an hour later, with Thea’s life story and a few new items of clothing.
