NEW YORK: Date Night

Elevated Date Night: Dinner places for when you’re really trying to impress (romantic + intimate, but too nice for a first date)

  1. Estela - romantic and cool, dim setting, candle-lit, tables close together

  2. Frenchette - it’s fancy but it’s soo romantic! And the food is top notch

  3. The Nines - red room, feels sexy, and there’s a piano + caviar baked potatoes

  4. Corner Bar - get a drink at Swan Room before or after

  5. Taikun - 8 person intimate omakase that’s not stuffy + there’s a surprise at the end

  6. Four Horsemen - a lovely wine bar, one of my favorite restaurants in NY

  7. Raouls - It’s buzzy and intimate at the same time. I recognize there are a lot of french spots on this list

  8. Raf’s - they take walk-ins, grab a drink at Jac’s on Bond or Temple Bar while you wait or make a reservation in advance, if you prefer that

  9. Balthazar - quintessential NY, buzzy, a scene

  10. Bemelmans Bar - to feel like $1M bucks and have an uptown night; bar food

Four Horsemen

Chill Date: More Casual, but still a perfect date vibe

  1. Le French Diner - walk-ins only, tiny, cozy wine bar with amazing french food

  2. Revelie Luncheonette - cozy winter spot, good place

  3. Casino - staple food and good scene for going out

  4. Metrograph - a cute indie movie theater on the LES with a restaurant in it + top top snacks

L to R - Metrograph, Revelie Luncheonette

A little bit More: Not a first date, but will make for a great night
