I have two other guides to Paris, in addition to this winter-specific one. You can find them linked below.
The first is a comprehensive guide to the city. If it’s your first or second time visiting Paris, this will have you covered.
The second is a summer specific guide. If you’re already pretty familiar with Paris, you’ll find the best places to capture the city’s summer energy — secret gardens to linger over skinny cigarettes and wine bars with sidewalk seating that almost guarantees you’ll make friends.
This is its winter counterpart.
WHERE TO EAT
DINNER
Jaïs - A classic French bistro in the 7th with young, lively energy. The tables are on top of each other and the vibe is hectic in the best way. Perfect for a date night or dinner with a friend.

Sushi Shunei - Unbelievable attention to detail and high-quality omakase.
Le Clown Bar - Less classic, more modern, bistro with a cozy aura and experimental dishes (like calf's brain).
La Renommée - From the team behind Au Cheval and 4 Charles in NY.
Ojii - Girl dinner but make it sexy.
Racines - An Italian bistro.
Soces - A warm reminder of my favorite wine bars in Fort Greene. Soces really reminds me of Margot in particular.
Le Voltaire - A good vibe with parents, friends, or for a date.
You already know Chez Janou, Le Petit Lutetia, and Bistrot Paul Bert, Chez L’Ami Louis.

LUNCH
Brutos - Sunday for the rotisserie chicken lunch (when most places are closed).
⭐ Chez Georges - A cozy, old-school, classic French bistro. I will come to Chez Georges on every trip.
Caviar Kaspia - sometimes it’s just what the doctor ordered.
COFFEE
Dreamin Man Paris (forever my favorite coffee shop in Paris).
SEXY AND ROMANTIC
Hotel Costes - a drink after dinner.
Bar Hemingway at The Ritz - a drink before dinner.
Sugaar - Sceney, hip spot for dinner where the food is also good.
Anywhere at The Ritz for drinks in general
MUSEUMS
The Louvre
Fondation Louis Vuitton (check if there’s an exhibition you’re interested in ahead of time).
STORES AND SHOPS
6th arr —
Boys Don’t Cry - Men’s clothing store with a lot of unisex pieces. They carry an interesting selection of brands like Bode, Second Layer, and James Perse.
Le Bon Marché - department store

3rd arr —
Pretty Box - A treasure chest of vintage Celine, Chanel, Versace, etc. Nicolas, who runs the shop, is epic. Do some digging here - you’ll find the most special vintage pieces you’ve ever seen.
The Broken Arm - maybe my favorite concept store of all.
The Parisian Vintage - great curation of vintage Courrèges, Paco Rabanne, Gaultier.
Books - Ofr, Yvonne Lambert Gallery
