St. Moritz is luxury at its most charming. The ski area has something for everyone from beginner to expert level, and the town is a quintessential European mountain village with designer shops and glamorous people.
The best part of St. Moritz is exactly what it’s famous for — blue skies and 300 days of sunshine. So much so that the official logo of St. Moritz is a trademarked sun.
GETTING THERE
The easiest way to get to St. Moritz is via private jet, charter flight, or air taxi directly to Engadin Airport. That says a good amount about the crowd here…
Otherwise, your travel is a bit longer, but possibly more beautiful. Visitors fly into Zurich, Milan, or Munich airports. From there, a few options exist:
By car: The journey from Zurich and Milan to St. Moritz is about 3 hours. Munich > St. Moritz is about 4 hours. You’ll want to reserve a car in advance and be prepared that the ride is very pricey. I’d recommend Blacklane private car service. Otherwise, ask your hotel for a preferred car service based in St. Moritz.
The scenic route: The train from Zurich airport or Milan Malpensa. The Glacier Express and the Bernina Express travel along a UNESCO World Heritage railway line so it’s absolute winter wonderland for the whole 3-4 hour commute.
WHERE TO EAT
LUNCH ON THE MOUNTAIN

El Paradiso - The ultimate après-ski. Come later in the day as skiing after rounds of Glühwein and fondue is not easy. If you’re not skiing or have family members who aren’t, there is also a chair lift and hike that goes directly to Paradiso. You’re better off with a reservation in advance.
Trutz - The best laid back spot to eat on the slopes for true Swiss mountain food.
DINNER

⭐ Scarpetta - A tiny restaurant with a lot of character. Prepare to be served piping hot pasta dishes in a warm, living room setting. Make a reservation in advance.
⭐ Chesa Veglia Italian Restaurant - A cozy, classic pizzeria that’s famous in St. Moritz. Order the Pizza Dama Bianca.
Dal Mulin - An intimate restaurant where you can actually have a ‘light’ meal in the heart of the town.
Ecco St. Moritz - Fancy dinner with experimental dishes.
Talvo by Dalsass - The apple pie is so good, I ordered a second before I finished the first…
Kulm Country Club - An iconic spot that’s a good vibe for lunch or dinner. The dining room overlooks the ice skating rink so the view is really fun for lunch.

DRINKS & DANCING
⭐ Renaissance Bar - An enchanted room inside Badrutt’s Palace. Come for an aperitivo or after dinner drinks, though the daytime is really special because of the big windows.
Dracula Ghost Riders - If you’re going out, this is the place.
WHERE TO STAY
Badrutt's Palace - The most legendary hotel right in the center of town.
Kulm Hotel - Amazing location and service. Staying here feels like you’re in a real life version of Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel.
Suvretta House - The most modern of the luxury accommodations and a bit uphill from the center of town, but an exceptional stay.
