WHERE TO EAT

DINNER

*Make all dinner reservations in advance. ~8:00 pm is a typical dinner seating.

  • ⭐ Restaurant Barr - My favorite meal in Copenhagen, located in the original Noma restaurant location.

  • Admiralgade 26 - Incredible living-room-like setting and elevated dishes.

  • EsmĂŠe - This was the restaurant most recommended to me. Truthfully, I was a bit underwhelmed by both the food and the service; though, the space is beautiful, the vibe is high, and the drinks are delicious.

  • Baka d’busk - Young, local crowd. Great for a lively dinner.

  • Sushi Anaba - Make a reservations far in advance or join the waitlist in hopes of getting off as this place is a challenge to get into.

BREAKFAST, BRUNCH, LUNCH

  • ⭐ Studio x Kitchen - Delicious breakfast, lunch, and baked goods. THE BEST Apple juice I’ve ever had in my life!!!!

  • ⭐ Atelier September - The famous whipped butter tower! But really, all of the breakfast & baked goods are delicious. The lines get very long during peak breakfast hours, but I went the day I landed at around 2 pm and there was no wait.

  • Apotek 57 - In the back of the Frama store. The lines are long during peak breakfast hours.

  • Apollo Bar - stunning setting for breakfast or lunch. Make a reservation in advance as it’s a tiny place. The head chef, FREDERIK BILLE BRAHE, is the same one as at Atelier September.

  • Seks - Polish bakery in the center of a popular shopping area. Great place to sit down for a coffee and a dessert or lunch when you need a break from walking. The cheesecake and Turkish eggs are some of the best I’ve ever had. (Ask for their wifi password)… they’re just having so much fun with it.

  • Hart Bageri - pastry & a coffee. Located in Copenhagen’s ‘Meatpacking district’ which is a fun area for galleries, bars, vintage shopping, etc. Come early as there are lines.

Atelier September

DRINKS & LATE-NIGHT

*Meatpacking District (Kødbyen) is filled with bars and clubs so head to this area if you want to go out and hop around.

  • Hotel Sanders - for a classy drink before dinner

  • ÅBEN Brewery - really cool space to grab drinks with friends. Picks up a little after midnight.

  • Mesteren Og LĂŚrlingen - dancing

  • NOHO - for late-night dancing. I would recommend getting properly hammered before coming here.

  • Hotel Cecil - dancing, a concert hall
